Product Description

Haworthia cymbiformis, also known as Cathedral Window Haworthia or Windowed Boats, is a charming succulent native to the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. This small, rosette-forming succulent is known for its thick, fleshy, light green leaves that are often translucent, giving them a glassy or crystalline appearance. The leaves are boat-shaped, up to 2 inches (5 cm) long, and filled with a gel-like substance that helps the plant store water. Individual rosettes reach up to 3 inches (7 cm) in height and about 4 inches (10 cm) in width. The plant produces small, delicate flowers on slender stalks up to 12 inches (30 cm) tall. The flowers are usually white to pale pink with greenish veins and bloom in the spring and early summer.

Origination: Eastern Cape Province, South Africa

Historic Uses: Ornamental, Houseplant

Height: 4” Hardiness: USDA 10-11

Other Names: Cathedral Window Haworthia

Growing Instructions

Prefers well-draining soil that doesn't retain too much water. A mix of garden soil with perlite, sand, or peat moss works well. Requires bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Protect from frost, as it can damage the leaves and roots. Does not require high humidity levels.

Ships in the 3.5” pots shown in the pictures. You will receive a plant that is very similar to the plants pictured however they may have grown some or depending on the time of year, they could be semi-dormant. Some plants will drop their leaves in winter - Crown of Thorns, Buddha Belly Jatropha, Etc. I have only grown plants in Florida and will send out anything I feel comfortable will grow here. It is up to you to know the conditions that these plants grow in the part of the country you reside. If your plant arrives rotting or dead, we will replace it for you. Please contact me with photo proof within 24 hours of delivery of your plants. It is my commitment to provide you with a live, healthy plant. Please note that minor cosmetic damage, such as a few broken leaves or small stems, may occur during transit and is a common risk inherent in the shipping process. Again, we cannot guarantee that some leaves won’t be broken or fall off- It is normal to lose some depending on the variety (Sedum, Echeveria, Cotyledon, Graptopetalum, etc...). Many kinds of leaves will re-root and grow into a new plant. Some that do not are Cotyledon and Aeonium. After 24 hours, my job is done and it is up to you (The buyer) to know how to keep it alive.

Heat packs are available for purchase with your item to use if cold weather is expected at the time of shipment. (Link to Heat Pack: bit.ly/40ugd4J ) Keep in mind some plants we carry are very tropical and even cold, not freezing, temperatures can kill them. I will cancel any order I feel won't make it safely to its destination without freezing. 📌IF YOU EXPECT COLD WEATHER, PLEASE PURCHASE A HEAT PACK! 📌 I don't make any profit off of them because they are a necessary shipping item in winter.
