Product Description     
The flat, slim foliage makes this variety of hoya stand out with its delicate appearance. Easy to care for and a steady grower, makes this a stunning houseplant to have in a hanging basket or mixed planter. Like other hoyas, retusa produces fragent star shaped flowers.

Growing Instructions:
Low Water, Part-sun, Part-Shade. Hoyas in general are easy to care for, but there are some basic tips to keep in mind when caring for and choosing a location for your hoya. Hoyas can tolerate a fairly long time without water, due to their succulent like nature. Hoyas love well-draining soil and do not want constantly wet roots, so watering only when the soil is completely dry is recommended. Hoyas leaves will also ‘wrinkle’ when dehydrated, so that can also be an indicator of when to water (not to be confused with the natural textured leaf of the macrophylla hoya). They do well indoors but will need light to grow well, although they will survive without direct sun. Optimal lighting conditions are often described as dappled light or morning sun. Outdoors they should be protected from frost and intense sun but otherwise will typically do very well on their own apart from extended droughts.

You will receive a plant that is very similar to the plants pictured. Ships in a 3.5" pot. We put great care into packaging our plants but due to the nature of the items shipped, it is possible for leaves or stems to bend or break in transit. Broken stems can be replanted after the open wound heals/dries to make two plants. Hoyas are very good at that! However, If your plant arrives rotting or dead, I will replace it for you. Please contact me within 24 hours of delivery of your plants. It is my duty to get you a live healthy plant- a few broken leaves not counting as this is normal. After 24 hours, my job is done and it is up to you (The buyer) to know how to keep it alive.

Heat packs are available for purchase with your item to use if cold weather is expected at the time of shipment. (Link to Heat Pack: bit.ly/40ugd4J )  Keep in mind some plants we carry are very tropical and even cold, not freezing, temperatures can kill them.
